BCMS Archery Club and Archery Team

The BCMS Archery Team and Archery Club are two separate activities. You can do either one or both! They do not overlap or conflict with each other.

The ARCHERY CLUB runs most of the year and is headed by archery sponsor, coach and BCMS Faculty Kam Wheeler as an extension to the in-school NASP curriculum. The Archery Club will shoot at school Friday mornings during club time, in the BCMS small gym. Archery Club is free and open to all BCMS students with any level of experience to shoot in an inclusive environment. Sign-ups are based on a first come first served basis per semester and limited to 30 students.

In addition to shooting in a fun, learning atmosphere, the archery club also presents a great opportunity for anyone considering going out for the archery team to give it a try, to learn more about the NASP Archery Program, or even to brush up on skills before the competitive archery team format begins in November. You must attend NASP curriculum instruction and range safety instruction held by Kam Wheeler during the first 3 club sessions, and have all paperwork turned in before participating in the archery club.

The ARCHERY TEAM starts in early November. The Archery Team season will run though the winter and spring sports seasons. The Archery Team will have two organized team practices a week and will compete and travel to invitational state qualifying tournaments and the Missouri NASP State Championships if qualified.
